Vicky Herkelian is a lecturer at the Turpanjian College of Health Sciences at the American University of Armenia. She is an experienced nurse clinician and educator. She completed her Masters of Arts in development studies (2010) at the Kimmage Development Studies Center, Dublin, Ireland and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the American University of Beirut Hariri School of Nursing, Beirut, Lebanon. She has more than 20 years of experience as a nurse clinician in Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospitals in Beirut, Dublin, and Saudi Arabia. She has vast experience in critical care nursing. Her passion for humanitarian work has taken her to Mongolia, South Sudan and Lebanon, working with different international organizations like Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). She has worked with nurses in low- and middle-income countries, with poor and war wounded populations. She has worked as a nurse trainer and educator, training nurses in the hospitals. She has given lectures and workshops on different topics to nurses and volunteers in different organizations.
