Lilit Khachatryan (AUA MPH 2009) Published an Article in the International Peer-reviewed Journal of Contemporary Medical Education

image001Dr. Lilit Khachatryan, MD, MPH, has published an article in the Journal of Contemporary Medical EducationJournal of Contemporary Medical Education is a peer-reviewed, quarterly publication dedicated to virtually all fields of medical education and related technologies, methods, equipment, educational course and organization.

The article “Comparative evaluation of two cohorts of final year residents on perception of curricular improvements after the Bologna Declaration at Yerevan State Medical University” published in 2014 Volume 2, Issue 2 is based on the findings of a cross-sectional study conducted among final year residents of Yerevan State Medical University revealing challenges of Bologna reforms when applied in a state-run medical university.

Dr. Lilit Khachatryan is the Acting TB Coordinator since May 2014; she has been promoted after holding the position of the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist of the Global Fund Program Coordination Team of the Ministry of Health of Armenia since January 2013. In 2012, USAID-funded HS-STAR project contracted Dr. Khachatryan to conduct external evaluation of the continuing medical education training for primary health care professionals from rural Armenia performed by the Fund for Armenian Relief. In 2009-2012, she held the position of Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist at Postgraduate and Continuing Medical Education Department of Yerevan State Medical University. During 2000-2009, Dr. Khachatryan worked in the AUA Center for Health Services Research and Development, World Bank financed Management Contract Company and World Bank Rehabilitation Project grant. Before 2000, Dr. Khachatryan practiced as an endocrinologist in a clinical hospital in Yerevan. Dr. Khachatryan earned her Medical Doctor (MD) degree from Yerevan State Medical University in 1991 and Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from AUA School of Public Health in 2009. She participated in local and international conferences and workshops, contributed to public commissions and committees and has publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
